🙏 Significance of Anant Chaturdashi
The word Anant means infinite—the endless, eternal form of Lord Vishnu, who is beyond time and space. On this day, devotees tie a sacred thread known as Anant Sutra, symbolizing protection, prosperity, and blessings from Lord Vishnu.
At the same time, the festival also coincides with Ganesh Visarjan. After ten days of devotion during Ganesh Chaturthi, families bid farewell to Lord Ganesha with chants of “Ganpati Bappa Morya, Pudhchya Varshi Lavkar Ya” (O Lord Ganesha, come soon next year).

📖 The Story Behind Anant Chaturdashi
The festival is rooted in ancient legends. The most popular story comes from the Mahabharata, where Lord Krishna narrated the importance of Anant Vrat to Yudhishthira.
Once, the Pandavas were troubled by misfortunes and losses during their exile. Lord Krishna advised Yudhishthira to observe the Anant Chaturdashi Vrat with full devotion. By tying the sacred thread and worshipping Lord Vishnu, Yudhishthira regained his lost kingdom and prosperity.
